Christmas Performance Dates 

It’s very nearly December and our Christmas performance rehearsals are underway! These shows are always a real highlight of the year, and I’m excited for you to see your children up on stage. Here are the dates and times for each year group: 

Fred the Frog’s Phonics Drop In! 

Reading and phonics remains one of our key drivers at City Academy Whitehawk, a building a love of reading is a passion for all of our staff. We know that children who are confident readers are able to access all of their lessons with greater success. We’re hosting a phonics drop on on Thursday 11th December at 3:30pm in the School Hall...check out Fred’s flyer from Miss Delaney below for more details... 

Breakfast Club 

We’re proud to offer a free Breakfast Club to all children in the school each morning. No need to sign up...children can arrive at the Canteen Gate between 8:00 and 8:10am, have a free breakfast, then enjoy some playtime with their friends before heading up to class. Come and join us! 

Headteacher Drop In Forum Wednesday 3rd December 2025 at 2pm 

It was fantastic to welcome so many families to our Behaviour and Attendance drop in in Autumn 1: we really value your feedback and ideas. I’ll be hosting our Autumn 2 drop in next Wednesday (3rd December) at 2pm: please do come and join me for a cup of tea and to share any ideas you have about the school, and how we could get even better. We’ll be joined by Janis Taylor, Chair of our LAB too.
