Friday 6th February 2026
I hope you’ve had a great week! We’ve had lots happening at school...an extra special ‘well done’ to the Year Sixes who worked so hard in their mock SATs assessments. They are showing great progress and we are very proud of them.
Power to Drive workshops
We loved welcoming the ElevationX team to CAW this week to run the ‘Power to Drive’ workshops for Year Five and Year Six. These were great STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Maths) workshops that the children loved taking in part in. They constructed model cars that ran on electricity and got to take them for a test drive on a track! You can find out more about the workshops by clicking this link.
As well as promoting maths and science skills, this is another aspect of the CAW Our City, Our World offer to consider climate change and the environmental impact of choices we make.

NSPCC Number Day
We celebrated all things maths today with our annual NSPCC Number Day today. Children had a great time engaging in ‘vertical learning’ with other year groups. It’s wonderful for children to have a chance to work with CAW students from other classes and to see them develop their collaborative skills together, all while they practise important maths skills and develop their numerical knowledge.

Family Engagement events
We’re really excited about the Family Engagement events we’re running next week. The timetable is below...it will be lovely to see families in school and enjoying learning with your children. The activities will involve how to stay online as part of our important Safer Internet Day work.

Have a great weekend and I’ll look forward to seeing you on the gate on Monday morning,
