Expressive Arts at CAW 

To best meet the needs of children in Art and DT, we follow a structure of plan, design, make and evaluate. Our Art & DT learning process begins with a cold task, followed by a series of skill based lessons to lead to a hot task or ‘final outcome’. Throughout the skills lessons, children are given opportunities to evaluate their skills and continue to develop these.

Our Art & DT lessons are taught as a whole class, scaffolds are used effectively to ensure personal success and our most confident learners are provided with appropriate resources to accommodate the task independently.
