  • Rugby Festival

Fri 14 Oct 2022 Mrs. Al Hattabi

A group of amazing Year 5 children went to celebrate the Rugby League World Cup at Hove Park this week and they had a great time, learning about the game, trying out new skills and getting very, very muddy!

It was great to see so many schools at the event and we were lucky to have some training from the Rugby Academy students at Cardinal Newman. All of the children received a certificate for their participation and Jacob was voted the winner of the determination award for his effort and teamwork throughout the event. Well done to all of those who took part and showing off our CAW Qualities!

  • Thursday 18th June CEO Update

    Thu 18 Jun 2020

Dear Familes of City Academy Whitehawk,

Please click here to read Aurora CEO, Mr. McCarthy's latest letter.

In this letter, Mr. McCarthy explains that our school year will now end for all pupils on Friday 17th of July.

I will publish next year's term dates in full as soon as possible. As Mr. McCarthy explains, we do not yet know what September will look like but I assure you that we are working hard here at school to make sure that everyone's return to school is supportive and of the highest possible quality. May I publicly thank the teachers who have been working incredibly hard to develop our curriculum. So much to be proud of at CAW!

Thank you to everyone for their kind words and continued support throughout this time. We are thrilled to have Year 6 back and look forward to welcoming more children on at the start of next week.

    Many thanks,

    Thomas McMorrin

    Headteacher
