Writing

Well done for imitating some of your own expanded noun phrases last week! This week we will focus on innovating it (changing something). We have all missed food so much over this lockdown period, so I would like you to innovate by changing the setting to a fast food restaurant! Look at the word document attached for your task each day.

Remember to send any any home learning on Purple Mash OR to our school email for us to share on here:

Maths

Topic: To be able to multiply and divide decimals by 10,100 and 1,000

First: Watch this video for multiplying.

03.05.20 - Explaining how to multiply decimals by 10, 100 and 1000

04.05.20 - Explaining how to divide decimals by 10, 100 and 1000

Remember when you multiply, your number gets bigger so you need to move your numbers to the LEFT. For dividing the number gets smaller so move your numbers to the RIGHT. You can tell how many places to move by how many ZEROS there are. Good luck! :)

Next: Try the work sheet attached.

Fun activities to do

World War 2

If you have finished your Anderson Shelter, here is a task for you to complete in next new 3 days!

Create your own food menu

Food had to be rationed during the war and people had to get their ration book stamped by the shopkeeper.

First - Watch this video to explain what 'raitioning' is. https://www.bbc.co.uk/bitesize/clips/zwrkwmn

Next - Look at these ingredients. This is the food you would be allowed each week, there were no supermarkets!

Last - Design your own menu.

Remember to send them in so we can see them!
